Phil Neville to step down as England women’s head coach
Neville to stand down as England women's head coach by next summer, his future is set to be announced when the dates for the Women's European Championships are decided, instead of the championships taking place in 2021 they will be taking place in 2022 but the schedule is yet to be decided by UEFA. Neville is set to stay on as England women's head coach until the end of his contract, which is set to expire summer 2021, unless a successor is chosen beforehand. The FA are set to assign a coach before the delayed European championships in 2022 and the women's World Cup in 2023, Neville is set to be a part of the team appointing a potential coaching candidate.
Nevliie was appointed the Lionesses head coach back in January 2018, he led the side to the She BelievesCup title in 2019 and a fourth place finish in the World Cup in the summer of 2019, but a run of seven defeats in the last eleven games has caused people to ask questions about his future with the Lionesses.
